Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub

It is the dead of summer and for me that means going bare foot or flip-flops all day. My heels and bottoms of my feet sometimes get dry and my heels crack. Going barefoot is not nice to your tootsies. So in the evening I love to enjoy a foot soak and this product, the Adovia Sea Salt Body Scrub is perfect for that! Trilane Retinol + Vitamin C Serum

Even in the hot months it is important to keep moisturizer as a part of your skincare routine. In love with the gel!

I think I bit my nails because of anxiety but when I had a boyfriend in my late teens, he really liked long nails so I started wearing acrylic nails. I wore them for about 10 years and I think it was because I was physically not able to bite my nails, I stopped biting them after I stopped wearing acrylics.

Now I have natural nails and I really enjoy trying to keep them in good shape. But I have never tried gel nail polish. Of course I have heard of it, seen others who wear it, and have been very curious. The reasons I didn’t try it is because of the expense, it seemed quite expensive at first, like $20-$35 when it first came out and because some people said it was hard to get off, blah, blah.

Well I finally tried it because I found a place that my Mom gets her eyelash extensions done and she told me that they have all these really beautiful gel colors and they were advertising the gel polish for $10. It was a simple process of a base coat, 3 coats of color and a top coat and you put your hand in a light curing machine to dry. I was really amazed that they were dry so quickly, I was sure I’d mess one up, but that would be very hard to do. They kind of look like acrylics in that they are hard and well coated. I really love it and am anxious to see how long they last. They told me 2-3 weeks.

If you want to stop biting your nails, it would be a great idea to have your nails gel polished, because it would be difficult to bite them and your nails would be able to grow.

Happy 4th of July!

cocolimeade3I hope you and your family are enjoying a safe and Happy 4th of July! We cooked and had a real American dinner of beer brats, hotdogs, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and watermelon. For dessert I made a really yummy Lime Pie!

My neighborhood sounds like a war zone, but it’s nice that people are celebrating our freedom!

I also made a yummy drink called a Coco Limeade! It is so good. It’s frosty and sweet, coconutty and full of lime flavor. It’s my new favorite drink for the summer. The recipe is for you below. Enjoy!

Coco Limeade
Recipe Type: Beverage
Prep time:

Serves: 2 cups
A refreshing, tropical frozen beverage. Perfect
Ingredients
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • 3/4 cup Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut (regular or lite)
  • 4 Tbsp. limeade concentrate (thawed)
  • 1/4 cup Bacardi Gold (or flavored rum)
Instructions
  1. In blender, add ingredients in order. Blend until smooth and frosty. Garnish with a lime.
Serving size: 1 cup
Notes
Virgin Drink: use water instead of rum.
